hopefully the blazers will start closing his practices off to the media so the kid can work in peace. that's going to get old quick.
I think Oden will score about 90 ppg, have about 25 rpg (would have more but he won't miss any shots and therefore will only rebound other players misses) will block anything on the defensive side inside the three point line and will lead the league in steals. I was going to project higher but I want to be realistic.
I'm a huge Spurs Fan, and this teams make up is reminding me of a younger, more athletic, Spurs (w/ David Robinson). If everyone stays healthy I see championships in your future. I will be rooting for you guys this season along side my Spurs, until you meet head-to-head of course.

hope hes not the next sam bowie. wish him the best.
i think oden will average about to 20+ppg, 12+rpg and a 3bpg. he will become one of the league's most versatile player. like travis said if everyone stays healthy on this team it can make a good run on the championship.
I think Oden will definitely take this team to the next level. My main concern is the amoount of weight he has put on, they need him to be strong and light in order to utilize his speed and quickness and that weight will definitely slow him down. On the upside, Joel Pryzbilla will allow him take his time and work himself into shape as will Rudy Fernandez for Brandon Roy. I think this core of players will be great for a long time if they apply San Antonio Spurs theology: sacrifice minutes and even games to ensure core member returns at full strength, rather than rush him back and jeapardize future seasons and players overall health. Just watch how slowly they'll be bringing Manu along ...
I Think Greg is gonna have a ok year but slowly get better. Hes coming out of rehab so he may not be at his best so i think in the next few years we will see that he grows better and better.
thanks travis, your a classy spurs fan,we see championships in our future too,I would be more than happy to see the blazers get to the spurs level, especially in the shooting percentage.
Bottom line....Greg Oden has been an impact player at every level. He is a very unique talent, and a tremendous team player. He averaged around 16ppg 9rpg and nearly 3bpg with a bum right wrist during his only year at Ohio State. Look for about 12ppg 8rpg and 2.5bpg in an often foul troubled 25-28mpg this 08-09 season.
Only the best for Greg Oden. But tell me, does Greg use a lift in his shoe to compensate for his short leg?
Greg's chinstrap gets a mention — nay, a full review — over at Beard Revue. AMAZING game last night. Go Oden, go!

As a Center in NBA,Oden still need more practice to improve his footwork and the skill of frontcorut offensive, such as hook and turnaround shoot. And I feel worry about his knees and ankles.God bless Oden,Roy,Aldridge!God bless Blazers!
i pray for the league this year. greg you look to be in beast mode early.
This comment is for Greg. The media and fans putting so much weight on your shoulders makes me so mad I could just spit!!!! I think your numbers are great right now anything more is a bonus. One of the things we love about you is your funny personality don't let the hype and unreasonable expectations burn that out of you. Everything else will come. Keep your chin up and hang in there big guy!
Greg,
When are you projected to come back?
GREG PLEASE READ>>> Hey filter out the media and all the pressure. Just go out there with some confidence and let your game develop. This city has put too much pressure on you and set expectations too high, thats what people do when they don't know squat about basketball. Go out there and bust your a**, get mean, and work on your game as much as you can. The rest doesn't matter. Just your presence in the paint is going to make this team a hell of alot better. You don't need to score to make a huge impact on this game.
