Yeah!! We are going to see a lot of this next season!!
Greg,
You have a great mo-hawk right now. Why not step it up a notch and go all-out Mr. T. Seriously. Also, remind Blake to keep that beard growing. He's looking tough as nails.
mb
I just got chills...
Oden fans, we should be campaigning to see this.
Greg, you should make our dreams come true and rock the Mr. T.
GREG!!!!! we met you at the movies last night me and my brother, i know you might not get to read this but it made my little brother's night. THE MOVIE was AWESOME, hope you liked it too. I didn't really want to watch NEVER BACK DOWN, but it was cool since we got to see you haha. My brother was like "omg thats greg" i want a picture with him. Anyways good seeing you, you are TALLLLLLLLLLL.

ladies and gentlmen my brother and GREG ODEN. :D
Another reminder/vote for the MR T
hawk and beard!
Don't have to do it now, but opening game next season would be a nice surprise
the balzers next year will go too the playoffs
Greg you know you need a permit for concealed weapons right? PRETTY SURE THOSE GUNS QUALIFY. /flex, looking good brotha keep it up.
How much does he weigh? He looks like he's as big as Dwight Howard, but he's about two inches taller. I like the fro better than the fro hawk because it makes GO look more intimidating.
Greg, I love the hawk...this city has character, and so should it's basketball team. I love the Blazers, but we could use some cool p.r., so thanx for spicing it up a bit.
That is my Pilates instructor!

Hey, I saw that Steve Blake was sporting a starter beard for the Cavs game. You should encourage him to grow a full-on man beard.
Also, you should grow a beard. You'd look tough as nails.
Yo GO i'm pumped to see u in a uniform next year, i also look forward to meeting you. I've been talking occasionally with ur uncle Big Fred. What started out a phone call to your house has turned into a real trippy experience. Me and my son sat with Fred at a recent game and look forward to introducing my girl to him next home game. I'm the biggest fan you'll ever meet but am not looking for any handouts or anything like that. Still can't believe fred is REALLY your uncle. Get well and keep up the hard work The league is in trouble next year
Athletes from around the world do Pilates check out the Pilates Blog and see for yourself.
Glad to read you're back practicing.
Keep up the good work big fella!
A comment on the hair, go for the full on Mr. T from Rocky 3 look.
The full-on short mohawk with the beard would be sweet.

Good luck on your rehab and welcome to Portland. Hopefully we will be able to support you guys next year if we can get Comcast bandits to allow 25% of fans to watch you. I'm a member of the Blazer Boycott, but we still think you guys are great. Hope to watch you and the team soon. Best of luck. Don Brissler
what up oden cant wait to see you play portland good but you make them great.good luck in rehab
As a rare blazer fan down under i was wrapped at your arrival then crushed by your injury. On a positive the others playin without you so successfully should allow you to introduce yourself without needing to be the messiah you can just make a very good team even better. Looking forward to your arrival on court. Keep smilimg i know everone else is with the thought of you in a blazer kit, keep smiling, Paul Queensland Australia
G.O. I hope for the best and hope you can recover at full strength from your injury. I cant wait to see you thrash the league next year. Anyways just take it easy, be easy and Happy Birthday! LOL!!!
Portland is a great team this year possibly the best up and coming teams in the NBA, with the arrival of you Greg, next year the team will be even better than the team this year, as a basketball fan, i can't wait to see what the Blazers and you Oden can do with the rest of the cast, like Roy, Aldridge, Outlaw, Frye, Jack... etc. good luck with your rehab and your team can only get better with your arrival next season....
Portland is one of the best teams in the NBA this year, when you come back next year the team will only get better, and me being a basketball fan i can't wait to see how much better the team will be with you added to this great young and talented team...
G.O. Good luck this season in rehab, it's nice to see you are keeping in good spirit. Too bad Comcast took away all the tv games from me, I guess I should join the monopoly... maybe next season I will have better luck. Cant wait to see you play.
Hey Greg,
As a trailblazer fan since "77", Let me just say it is a great time for this team once again. The players have become a force in the west and we look forward to the addition of BIG GREG... It is an exciting time to live in Portland and to see the rise of what will soon be a Championship contender.. Hats off to Brandon and the boys... Gonna be huge when Greg is ready,...
I'm sure you know this already, but we're all rooting for you, GO. Take your time and come back healthy - you've got a long and great career ahead of you so there's no need to rush (though we already miss having you out there at times!).
We posed a question on our blog about what pieces of each player, past and present, would make the best Blazer ever. You've been mentioned a few times already! Check out the blog, we're die hard blazer-believers and would make a great addition to the blog roll...

Oden was a norse god his son was thor look it up. He was that god of gods and of all men and things.
They spell it odin. He is a god of war and death along with wisdom and poetry. Sounds like he will fit in with the blazers nicely.

I am actually mostly interested to see if you actually read these? I have been a blazers fan since clyde the glide, and buck williams. (granted im 23 now and I grew up on Blazers). It has been tough seeing the team choke so much, but they are starting to clean up and play well. I know that you will be a strong part of this family.
I have been a Blazers fan since Clyde the glide and Buck williams. The team has choked the last few years but are building back up now. I dont think this is a team of stars, but a family with a good amount of talent that can be played around the court. I can't wait to see you play with the rest of the guys. Do you even see this blog? Thank good luck
Dear Greg,
I was so excited to see you get drafted b y my favorite team in sports. I have been attending Blazers games since I was 7 years old (I am 38)and now my 12 year old son sports the red and black. We go see the blazers play the clippers once a year and will see Boston vs. Blazers in Portland this month with my Father (3 generations of Blazer fan). We live in San Diego, Ca so don't get the luxery of goin to any more games but just know we all are pulling for you and we may not even be in Portland. Have a great rehab and know the inside is yours next year.... I hope you enjoy my hometown and find happiness there. Best Wishes

Hey Greg, I am glad to hear you are doing well with rehab. I am looking forward to watching you play next year. My buddies and I love to wach the Blazers when we can, but living out here in Pendleton makes it hard as we do not get alot of televised games.Tell Brandon I said GO DAWGS.Continue to scout those opponents. Good luck with the rest of your rehab. Larry in Pendleton
Gregg I hope you don't swat me too hard and make me look like a fool. I don't think I could handle a new dominant force in the NBA.

Hy Greg!
I'm from Hungary, and I can't wait 'til see you on the court! When will you get to practice with the team? And will you play this season?I hope you be better...Good luck! Attila
What up G-MAN? Man i gotta give it up to you! You got class! Our team is better than ever. I never lost faith but was getting close before roy showed up. Then we landed you and i was extatic! I know your presence on the floor in the '08-'09 season is going to be unbelievable. I have been watching highlights of you at ohio st. and preseason with our blazers trying not to get too down and realize what we have going for our team, state and city. Im tired of the officials picking on priz. With you clogging up that lane and blocking shots, i see us going far in the playoffs. Welcome big guy! -Brad Mack salem, OR
hey! when i see your face i see a shit! why are you not playing!??? please, get into the game man. fuck you!
Hey Greg,
Best of luck with your rehab. There are so many people who are happy that you are a trailblazer! We love you man! It'll be so fun for us (and you) to see you on the court.
Portland is the absolute weakest market in the NBA. We are treated unfairly and no one does anything. They never get good games on espn. Unless they have won thirteen in a row. Why can't Oregon residents see the blazers on tv????I don't want a reason I want a soultion. Even nba league pass doesn't play portland games.wtf!!!!
We've been waiting a long time for a dominating character like yourself to come along Greg. What's another year or two? The main thing now is heal up right. You've got a long life ahead of you, and not just basketball.
Take your time and heal up good Greg. Can't wait to watch you inthe red and black.
Good luck Greg on your recovery. I am so excited for the big things that will happen next year. With you in the lineup, the team will be even that much better. I watched you on Rome Is Burning and you talked about your Dog. I also watched the video of you and Mike Conley playing Eric Gordon in high school, you are the man!!!! Go Blazers, Rip City is back!!!!
good luck greg in your recovery
This Blazers fan is proud of you Greg! I know it must be hard to have to go through this rehab but your time to shine is coming. Stay strong and keep your head above water. Oh, and many thanks for energizing this Trail Blazers team and bringing us all a renewed confidence in the future of our one and only franchise!
Do you think Greg could do a back flip into the pool? I don't know if he's coordinated enough to but it would be schweeeeeet!
Greg- I am sending you my support. You have an extra year to prepare your boby for the NBA. All of us in Blazer Nation want to believe you are the real deal. I thin k you are. I cannot wait to see you dunk on the rest of the league. Train hard. Good luck. My best wishes for your success.---Shepp
we're all rooting for you greg! I can't wait to see you in a blazers uniform playing alongside our beloved hometown favorite. I will admit I didn't like seeing you you dominate my michigan wolverines in college, but I am ready to see inflict the same sort of punishment on the rest of the nba! Good luck, please take your time, we want you at 100%--- Calvert
I am with you greg! "Here is my saying Oden 08 it is soooo worth the wait"!!!! My dad just had that surgery one is ankle i know it hurts! GO ODEN! We all hope you get better!
Go Blazers the rings and parades are soon to come. Get well Greg
Bro this is lame not havin you to play with the blazers i was lookin forward to seeing what you could do on the court, but this team is just gettin better and better and next year with your contribution i could see us going real far. Thank you for actually working i have been readin all ur blogs and watching the videos and it makes me feel good that our 1st pick isnt a lazy piece of crap like darius miles who should be cut from our team, i just, i hate him so much hes so fat and ugly and a worthless waist of our money...but you, you are a trooper and i cant wait to see you play
Greg- I can't wait to see you back on the floor with this team. If we get deep into the playoff's do you think there is any chance of having you on the floor?
Hey Greg:
First let me welcome you to the beautiful Northwest. All of us Blazer fans out here in Central Oregon are rootin' for you to have a speedy, but yet COMPLETE rehab..
Having you with our team is a dream come true. Our guys this year are doing AWESOME, can you imagine what it will be like when you get to join them? I have been a solid blazer fan since I was a boy growing up in Beaverton. GO BLAZERS!!!!!!!!!! R I P C I T Y !
Brobablazer
Greg- stay focused, work hard and maintain patience in your return. Oregon wants you happy, healthy and safe in your return. We are excited to have you runnin' with the boys. We are so excited about the progress of the team; the attitude; the respect and the overall effort. We know you are a part of that- as displayed when you were so cordial to our family at the Justin Timberlake concert in Sept. Thanks for the leadership and being a part of our Oregon Family.
Hey Greg,
I want to send some support for you. It must be pretty stressful getting back in to shape...and keeping your teams confidence in you as well. However, stay true to yourself..as a player you represent a team...but, as a leader you represent what your character and values. Youre young with so much time..Relax. Watch who you hang around and..keep Jesus in your prayers. - Take Care of yourself and remember who you represent.-RTW
Buddy, we just can't wait to see you in the line up for next year man. We will be a FORCE in the West next year. Who cares for another lotery pick next year? We already had the number ONE pick for 2007, & you will be the next SHAQ in the middle. Take it easy on the rehab and we will see you in Blazers uniform next season.
Hey Greg:
I know it's tough for you not being able to contribute on the court this season, but your mere presence has energized the city and your teammates. I think it's great that the Blazers have raised their level of play so high that when you do play next year, the pressure of having to recue a team won't be there. Keep working hard. I know it will be worth it. I'm looking forward to adding ODEN in '08!!
Dear Greg,
I'll bet when you come back you'll be able to jump really high and block a lot of shots. I hope you come back and play like a young Chris Dudley. That would be amazing. BTW, do you know Arvydas Sabonis the former Blazers center? He's really big and he passes really well for a big guy. You should try to pass like him. Your head isn't as big as his, but his head is the size of a grizzly bear's head so you shouldn't feel bad.
Have your seen the movie Lord of the Rings? Remember the orks? I wonder what it would be like if they played basketball. Once there was this player named Ha who was on the Blazers. He was really big and Korean. He kind of reminded me of an ork. You should look him up on Youtube and look at his awesome moves. I think you'll learn a lot about how to be successful in the NBA just by watching. He was also voted the most beautiful Korean to ever play in the NBA.
Do you remember when you were playing at Ohio State University? Have you ever heard of the Buckeye bullet? Its powered by a 500hp AC induction motor. I saw it on television and it made me think about you.
Anyways, wouldn't it be weird if you wore those shoes you're wearing in the pool on the basketball court? I think you should wear your swim trunks when playing too. That would intimidate your opponents.
Well, I hope you're doing well and I hope your knee is healing. I think when you come back to the blazers they'll win 82 regular season games.
Greg it is good to see that you are able to get into a pool to keep your self in shape. Will look forward to when you can get on the court with the rest of the great blazers. I've been a fan sence way back through the good times and the bad. Keep up the good work. My the Lord Bless your days.
I love how humble you are dude, every game I have been to this year they put you up on the big screen and the crowd just erupts, you always seem to shrug it off, but we love you here in Portland and just seeing your face up there in the 4th quarter usually gives us the rally we need. Go Greg-O
Hi Greg, Thanks for letting us follow along as you rehab your knee and prepare to take your place on the active duty roster for our team next year. I commend you for your positive attitude and for all of the hard work you are putting in to get well. Please do not be tempted to try to come back too soon. It surely cannot be easy to have to work on rehab while the team is enjoying such an exciting period of success, but I see the future coming together in a wonderful way--when you do finally get to join your teammates on the floor and play together--our Blazers will really be a special team. I am so proud of all of the guys on the team, but I am especially proud of you. The strength of character you are showing at this difficult time, as well as your humble nature and sense of humor, are serving to make you a fan favorite and a player that we are going to be proud of for years to come. RIP CITY loves you--GO BLAZERS--GO GREG ODEN!!!---Nancy
Blazer fan since i was alittle kid and i am exited about what is going on in portland and it will only be better when oden comes back. Take it slow so you don't hurt your self again. You will be great. rip city
Hang in there Greg, great things happen to people who are patient and enduring. Dale
On behalf of my grandmother, Ramona Poorman, RIP CITY Blazers! She is in heaven smiling down at how you've all come together as a team!!
i have been a blazers fan since the rip city days and have always stayed loyal, however for a few years there it wasn't so with a lot of fans. it's very exciting to see everyone come together again and play as a team and believe as a city again. Alot of that goes to greg. I remember watching the draft and was so excited to see us the next year i almost was jumping out of my skin. there has been a lot of talk about you when you come back and some worries. I know, along with many others, that everything will take it's course and next year NBA teams will have one more reason to be scared to come into our house, GREG ODEN!! keep up the strenous work and remember portland is behind you- josh
Here's a story for you, Greg.
I have 2 sons. One is teaching in Japan. He committed to 3 years there after graduating from ASU. When I call him after the games, he can rattle off all the game stats as he keeps his eye on the Trailblazers from his lap top in Japan. My other son is attending Univ of OR. They played basketball all through school and still play often. When the news came out that Portland would have the #1 draft pick my boys went nuts! Long story short - even though they cannot attend games together until 2009, the boys wanted to go in together on season tickets. I liked the idea so much that I invested in the season tickets in support of the idea for my sons and in support of this awesome new team. My husband and I attend most of the home games. My son in Eugene makes it to as many as his schedule - and the Ducks schedule! - allows. We have good seats right across from the Blazer bench up in section
321. We patiently await the great day when the boys can finally attend the games together.
And this whole city waits for that big, huge exciting game when you arrive on the court with the team!!
Please know that everyone is in support of you - it's a very exciting time for Portland. You're a bi

i wanna see Greg take down Shaq next year. With one of the best big men in the center that just what Blazers need.
I Live in San diego and with the performance of the blazers and their sportmanship it is an honor to wear my Blazer Gear. I look forward to your return Big man and I will see you at the Staples center beating those hated lakers in the playoffs. Keep up the hard work!
Beware the Wrath of Oden
vgirowhat up big O! i'm asking because there is a limited amount of media for us fans to check out so i'm a little in the dark. now that a season foreshadowing next year's winning record is over, us fans are left with not much of anything "Blazer". put some more vids up my man, as we'd all love to see the hard work you do paying off via internet media.
PS: this little dude i'm teachin how to play ball wants to know how much you bench.
does anyone know whos training this guy? the last thing we and especially greg wants is to have his potential limited my a mediocre trainer. I mean Chris Paul, Gilbert Arenas, those guys plus Carmelo and a few other hot shots had the same trainer (one guy). Its no secret that the calibre of a trainer correlates with the growth and rate of a players development. What do you guys know about P-town trainers? Isnt it said that players get worse here? In the past maybe but now, i personally dont think so. Bur memories of Kwambe Brown turning into a below average player are troubling. Anyway, go P-town and go Greg. Im an ex-portlander watching you here from New Zealand with admiration :)
oden needs to work hard this summer and he will come into the nba a beast. It all depends on his work ethic. show me whats up beast.
